Organic food is in fact, worth more money. If you value your health and well being, organic is the only way to go. The big agrabusinesses that exist today are able to produce food at a much lower cost than organic producers because they use low cost chemical and genetic modification solutions to the problems of pests, weeds, and fertilization methods. Non-organic meat producers pen the animals and force feed them to increase the weight gain rate. They also pump them full of growth hormones to increase the growth rate, and antibiotics to combat the bacteria caused by keeping them in such close quarters with no opportunity for exercise. Their feed consists of things that are foreign to their natural fare and laced with all manner of synthetic and chemical compounds to get the results they want in the least amount of time.

Organic producers, on the other hand, use natural means to deal with pests, weeds, and fertilization. Whether it be meat or vegetables and fruits, they grow in a natural environment. This takes more time so production is slower. Everything grows and develops at the rate it was meant to. The nutritional value is far superior as is the quality and flavor. If you've never had fresh organic produce or meat it may take some getting used to because the flavors are much different than the chemical soup that is its counterpart.

What you need to ask yourself is what is your health and that of your family worth to you. For myself, I'd rather pay a little more and have the peace of mind in knowing what I'm eating and feeding my family. You may even find that buying organic may help your local economy as well, since often the freshest and best organic product sources are right in your local area. Personally, I buy much of my organic products from people in my local area because I know them and I know their practices, so I can rest assured that what I am purchasing is, in fact, organic.

I would encourage everyone to buy organic and force the big agra-businesses, that are poisoning our population and keeping people sick, which in turn feeds the big pharmaceutical companies who in turn line the pockets of many a politician, to change their practices or suffer the economic consequences.

Lets make a stand and take what we deserve. Better nutrition, better health, better life. Go organic now.
