the car, and labor at a competitive rate. This way you can determine the price you should sell your car for.
Once you have sold your first classic car, you should start your business bank account and deposit the entire amount you received for the car. You must begin to keep excellent records and a budget. Write down your expenses and your income from the sale of the car. Subtract expenses from income. This is your net income. Base your budget on this income. You now have money that you can reinvest in your business. Plan out your budget. How much can you spend on your next classic car and parts? You can plan the budget around what you spent for the first classic car. Once you have a workable budget, you should begin shopping for your next classic car adventure. Make sure to keep some money in the bank so that you can build up your income.
How you start out also depends on how much money you have to start with. If you are quite well off you can start with more cars. But it is still best to buy low and sell higher in order to make money. You don't want to lose money even though you may have a lot to start with.
If you are investing quite a bit of money in your first cars, you should set aside in a special business bank account the amount of money available for buying your first cars.
This amount should be budgeted immediately.
Remember even though you may be starting out bigger, look for the best deals, in order to sell at a higher price so that you can make money. A business is for making money not losing money. And your classic car business is like any other business.
You may also have collected your passion of classic cars and are now deciding to go into business and make money by selling your classic cars. You will want to get all your records together on what you paid for your cars and how much you invested in time and work and parts in order to make a wise decision in pricing your car for sale, so that you are making a profit.
For added income, in your classic car business, you could also sell classic car parts and accessories such as paint, upholstery, etc. Since you are already looking for parts to refurbish your cars, you might consider collecting good parts that you come across. Accessories could be purchased wholesale.
So remember whether you are a small-time classic car business with only one car, or a big-time business with many cars, you always need to buy low, sell higher, and budget, budget, budget.
