First of all, let me apologize for the title. I just couldn't help myself :)
Okay, to answer your question, insurers are not interested in the colour of your vehicle. When you want to insure your car, the most common questions they will ask if whether or not the car is brand new or used, the cost of the car (ie. how much did you pay for the car), your age, any car modifications and your driving records (whether or not you have had accidents in the past).
The reason they ask you the latter two is because usually your premium goes up if you've got a bad driving record or if you have modified your car beyond the legal limit. Normally if you have had your car modified illegaly, insurers will not want to insure your car in the first place, so this is why insurers need to know all these information. It is difficult to cheat the system as well, because your insurer might bring your car in for assessment (if it's a used car, normallly) so that they can tell if your car has been involved in a road accident.
So, it doesn't matter if your car is red, black, green or white. Insurers do not discriminate cars based on colours. Colours are not important to them. Don't worry if you have a red car, you'll be sure to get a fair decision from your insurer.
