Here are 25 of the best movies EVER
And if you watch all of them...you'll know why
1. On the Waterfront (1954)
Marlon Brando is without a doubt the best actor to ever have graced the Earth..this is by far his best performance.
2. A Christmas Story (1983)
Hilarious Christmas movie that can be watched all year long. I wait every year for TBS to air its annual "A Christmas Story" marathon, and I sit down and watch all 24 hours of this delicious delight. From Ralphie's cynical adult voice-overs to his dirty mouthed dad, this movie is a timeless classic.
3. The English Patient (1996)
"Am I K in your book? I must be."
This movie is beautiful, miserable and horrifying. Katharine and Laszlo's love for each other is obvious and the most heartbreaking scene to me, is when Laszlo feels he has lost Catharine forever, when we all know she's always loved him and always will.
4. The Notebook (2004)
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are what make this movie the treasure it is. I've never seen such good acting in a teenage romance since John Cusack in Say Anything. But what really makes me want to watch this movie over and over again is the chemistry McAdams and Gosling vibrate on screen.
5. Terms of Endearment (1983)
The scene where Emma's sons come visit her for the final time is the deal breaker for watching this movie. And Shirley McClaine's riveting "Give my daughter the shot!" is absolutely heart shattering.
6. The Sixth Sense (1999)
Haley Joel Osment is a genius. No one could've made me believe they saw dead people better than him. The scene where we find out the girl has been poisoned by her mother is heart pounding and unsettling, and what makes this such a great film.
7. Gone with the Wind (1939)
Scarlett O'Hara has got to be one of the most annoying yet beloved characters of cinema history. I hate her dearly, yet I want Rhett to "give a damn", and not disappear forever into the fog.
8. Titanic (1997)
Winslet and DiCaprio's mesmerizing performances are all I have to mention.
9. Shakespeare in Love (1998)
This movie surprised me. I thought I was going to get the usual happy-sappy-trying too hard but not enough performance from Gwenyth Paltrow. Luckily, I got nothing like that. This movie was thoroughly entertaining and I immediately fell in love with the handsome and stirring actor, Joseph Fiennes. Ben Affleck was also a memorable comedic delight, and I enjoyed ever loving minute of this film.
10. Rebel without a Cause (1955)
Jim Stark's, "You're tearing me apart!" sets the stage for this
