Tips for earning gold in World Of Warcraft

is worth money, you should be able to make more than enough money for your mount. On a mid-30's rogue, I made roughly 100g in the time it took me to level about five levels. That gave me enough money to buy my mount, and everything else was available for buying gear.

Once you get to Outland, the whole world changes. Quests will reward you with gobs of money. Gray items will sell for gold. Daily quests can be completed for money over, and over, and over again. However, things are also very expensive.

While leveling in Outland, pick up everything. Gray items, which are useless for crafting and generally worth very little, are often worth 10-15 silver in Outland. A gray weapon, like the Stoppable Force, sells for over 2g. Simply gathering all of this "trash" while you quest will net you a large amount of cash.

You should continue to gather. At level 70, you may want to switch to a crafting profession so that you can create items that are bind on pick-up. However, until then, continue to gather everything in your path and sell it. Stacks of herbs or ore will net you a ton of gold. If you do switch to a crafting profession, remember that your crafted items will generally lose you money! Do not farm items in order to craft items and sell them. Look on the auction house. If you can buy the materials, craft the item, and sell it for a profit... go for it. Otherwise, farm the items and sell them! Materials are gold.

While you are leveling, do not buy gear. Quests will reward you with nearly everything you need, and instances can fill in the few gaps. Itemization from quests was drastically improved in Outland, so you don't need to walk around with green "of the monkey" items anymore. This will also save you a bunch of money.

Finally, once you hit level 70, there are two keys to making money.

Finish all of your quests. Quests completed in Outland at level 70 will generally give you 10-30g. If you didn't use the quest to level up, go do it for the money. It is worth it.

Do daily quests. As soon as you have a flying mount, do the quest chain to open up Ogri'la. Also visit Skettis. Between these two places, there are 5-6 daily quests that you can complete relatively quickly. Each quest rewards you with 12g. In less than an hour, you can complete all of the quests and earn 72g. Suddenly, all of those expensive items don't seem too out of reach.
