Do you want to help others, no matter what is expected of you? Will you use your skills to help others feel better or to be comfortable during their illness? Are you compassionate, caring, loyal, and dedicated to the people you will be helping or working with? There are many reasons to become a nurse, but first you must decide whether you can handle the stress involved. Maybe, you will lend a helping hand to others or even save someone's life.

Can you function in a stressful, yet chaotic environment and still retain control of this situation? Will you be able to commit to a challenge and see it through, until it is completed? Does helping a doctor save a life or heal a sick child interest you? Do you enjoy working with people and paperwork that require patience? Are you wanting to a decent paycheck or further your education, once you have chosen a career?

Both men and women can become highly skilled nurses, who can chase any career path they may desire. You may work with babies, sick children, adults, and elderly patients that need a friend, during their health crisis. No matter, how advanced technology gets in the future; you will continue to be high in demand. Many people will still need a healthcare that will look to nurses, for daily help or immediate assistance.

Honestly, you never know the impact, which you can have on the lives of those that you care for. Only you know, whether nursing is the right job or career for you. Usually, you will find the job rewarding in many ways, from seeing a baby born to saving another person's life. As diseases continue to affect thousands of lives, you can be there to inspire or lend a helping hand to those that need it most.

As a nurse, you will need certain skills to be successful, so study hard every day and use your skills often. Therefore, you will be able to do your job effectively and change someone's life that is depending on you. But, always remember that you are responsible for your actions and your mistakes. However, if you are careful and honest, you will find the skills that are necessary to become a respected nurse.
