YOU CAN'T FORGET
You hold your chin up,
higher than you should...
you have so much more pride,
than I ever could.
You walk so tall,
with your patronizing eyes...
you hide your faults within,
and cover them with lies.
You look at me and frown,
your head filled shame,
you try and try to forget me...
but it will always be the same.
You will remember each day...
you simply won't forget,
so now your days run slow...
and are filled with regret.
Overwhelming in the least,
are your memories of me...
but you know they hold you back,
from being who you want to be.
I know you want to forget...
the thoughts you hold so dear...
but you just don't know...
how bad I need you here.
My pain sensors indicate...
I'm being shocked...
by images and memories,
suddenly unlocked.
I know you don't want to remember,
but you cant forget...
now your days are filled with sorrow,
and everlasting regret.
