Empowerment through self-discovery

Process of a Miraclean Experiment.
Day Three

I've stated that in order for me to change my life I must change everything I believe. It's sounds pretty simply and ultimately the concept is easy, but the process is one that digs deep into many different levels.

For much of my life I was not aware of the many different components of what I am comprised of. I live in this world on the physical plane of the five senses; touch, smell, sight, taste and sound. But those are not the only parts of my existence there is also the emotional, the mental and the spiritual.

All of these make up the whole of who I am. Each playing a fundamental role in how I experienced this life. If one area is out of wack, it's natural that the rest will follow until total disharmony results.

The main function of all the systems in our bodies is to maintain homeostasis; a balance of function, which in effect permits us to function in anything and everything we do.

If one part of the system is deficient or unbalanced so to speak, the body will extract resources from other systems to restore balance. This drawing of energy results in an imbalance, the belly barometer of our feelings.

No part of us is separate from any other. This can be explained simply in the effects we may feel when sick. When the physical is extracting resources to compensate for the illness, we are affected emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The effect is that we "feel" what the other aspects of ourselves is experiencing.

In re-defining my life and my experience of it, I have come to understand the importance of my emotions. For a larger part of my life I wanted nothing to do with anything that "felt" bad. I always wanted to feel good. Hence my long history with drugs and any other activity that falsely manifested these feelings.

What I did not know is that in not experiencing the natural flow of my emotions and manipulating them to what I thought I desired; Was a way to never take responsibility for the life I lived. I had no depth of knowledge of how my emotions were the directions for the roadmap of my life.

I always felt bad and my solution was not to acknowledge this voice from within, but to destroy it. To numb it, to drown it out with each and every substance I could. The result was the floundering hopelessness of the void of my existence.

When I finally had the opportunity to recreate my life as one free from addiction I was an emotional mess. Because I never harnessed the power that my emotions had, I never knew
