So full of raw potential
and untapped talent.
Passion and energy abound.
Curious and experimental.
Living for the now.
After all who knows
what tomorrow will bring?
Transition from child to adult.
Not sure which one to be.
The former feels safe,
the latter full of challenge.
Hormones going crazy,
some wish they would slow down.
Bodies also changing,
along with new emotions.
Often angry, often happy,
often frustrated and confused.
Often stereotyped as hooligans or thugs,
by those looking on,
who have forgotten what its like,
to be young and alive.
But they have lost their youth,
and are bitter it is gone.
