Overcoming body image issues through self-acceptance

Improving Ones Poor Self-Image

As much ones poor self-image is touted as some modern day disease its not. I imagine Eve said to Adam Does this fig leaf make my bum look big?' And not to assume that body image fears are purely a female dilemma, Adam probably asked her Whose more impressive that asp (python) or me?' So is it any wonder that Eve grabbed for the apple.

Undeniably this issue is more widely promoted today, though, more often in the disguise of communal concern and government responsibility. Yet in 'us' striving for a healthier world is there some hidden expectation that this shall make a more attractive world?

The considered winning poor self-image modality falls within the gamut of eating disorders; and its association with low self-esteem. This being supplemented and nourished by ideal weight ratios and fitness levels plus those ranked as supermodels and athletes. While the effects of aging come in at a toothpick close second.

However, I guess you could say I have grown tired of dealing with the poor me - why me - hey - look at me' people. Those people that harp endlessly on about their self-image, albeit whether that be positive, negative or indifferent, as nevertheless, each holds the power to become destructive. Your better off to play the harp with a clear destination in mind. Plus I've also found it ironic that many of those, with considered low self-esteem, are usually poor sods that are highly self-possessed.
Note: My intention isn't to assault those that are occasionally tempted to taste the insecurity tit bit. In this article I'm speaking to people that are consumed by it' and hence try to bite back ~ with only their gums a blazing.

As such, these days my tips (for what there worth) to 'you types' are likely blunt;

Firstly; stop obsessing - about you!
It's the most unattractive aspect about you as a person that can be improved upon right now! This can be done from becoming aware of just how much you focus on you' consciously and unconsciously.
ie; The moment you say or think Gee I'd like to look like that person' become mindful that you are not thinking about that person you are thinking, assessing and obsessing about yourself.
So stop it!

Secondly; desensitize yourself - own you!
This can be done by standing (well its better if one moves about) naked in front of a full length mirror for 3 minutes each morning and every night. Then increasing the time frame by a minute every day, till you
