The most important component of sport is safety: no questions asked. Writing from a health and safety point of view, those sportspeople who want to take steroids should acknowledge that they are advantaged relative to their opponents who do not want to take steroids, so they should therefore not be allowed to compete with these steroid-free competitors.
For sport to be safe, a level playing field must be adhered to. To pitch disadvantaged individuals or teams against those taking steroids would be detrimental to the sport. (rolling with times) To many this will seem an unnecessarily complex state of affairs, with the probability of separate leagues for steroid taking and non-steroid taking sportspeople; however, with all sports progressing in such a scientific and detailed manner, the introduction of steroids has been unavoidable, and will continue to be so unless this drug is legalized and accepted in the sporting world.
Records will be smashed and great feats freakish, indeed will be accomplished, yet with restricted doses and monitored usage, the impact of anabolic steroids will be kept to an entirely beneficial stage, for both competitors and spectators alike.
