"Once bitten twice shy", Old wives tales really do make sense. It is a tendency in human nature "never to be taken for a fool again". If you have been hurt in a previous relationship your body unconsciously puts up barriers. Some people go head first into relationships straight away and don't give themselves time to reflect on were their past relationship went wrong. They feel a need to have a relationship with the opposite sex. When things don't go smoothly yet again they ask themselves what they are doing wrong. They feel a lack of self esteem, a bit of paranoia, self doubt. They try again with another relationship but it will not work with these emotions already set in.

We need to take time out! Get up every day and do things that we want to do. Go to places that are of interest to us, not where we think we will meet somebody. Take time to find ourselves, feel what its like to enjoy life doing exactly what we want on a day to day basis without worrying about pleasing someone else. Have plenty of "me time". Once we find ourselves life can be so different, we meet people who have the same interests, our social lives take a change for the better, confidence grows as we are not trying to please anybody, we are being ourselves its a feeling of total freedom. We stop looking for love on this journey of finding ourselves, but love has a habit of finding us.
