How to give a successful oral presentation

How important is it to be a good public speaker?

Being a good speaker is very important if you if you want your voice to be heard and taken seriously. Presenting a successful speech takes preparation, nerve, and the determination to get the message across coherently. As a person who can sometimes be shy, school has enabled me to learn the specifics of speaking and communicating in front of an audience. Classes are effective, because you learn that a person's attention span only holds for around 20 minutes. So making sure that your presentation is filled with color and creativeness is a must. The tone of your voice is an essential tool that you should also consider. Speak up because people will not take a soft spoken person seriously at all. Index cards are okay for presentations, but never read off of any card or prompter. Display a strong sense of confidence in what you are speaking about and use enthusiasm to draw attention to your subject.

All of these tips will help you become a well-rounded speaker and thus finish a successful presentation!
