No, private and public colleges are the same in regards to curriculum. However, money plays an important part in selecting a college for students. All colleges try to encourage students for one reason:Money. The more students a college enrolls more money the college obtains through state agencies or private donors. College curriculum moves so fast that its a wonder that anyone can absorb the material.
Students need to focus on what they want to do with their lives and weigh the costs of attending a private or public college. For me, I attended a private college for the convenience of being local in my hometown. However, if I didn't have to work to attend college then I probably would have attended a public college.
Colleges depend on money and students depend on that piece of paper to get their foot in the door at companies that require a degree. I'm a big proponent that anyone can be taught how to do anything with the right training, but college gives you a heads-up opportunity over non-college people.
