Fired: How to assess your own behavior

The article is a good example of work depression. This worker knew that he had made a serious error that would not be forgotten, but instead of trying to repair the damage done, trying to be a better employee and hoping they would see his effort and forget the problem. He instead went completely opposite. He wasted the opportunity to fix it and literally made it worse knowing he was going to pay for it. Making things worse on purpose proved to the VP she was right all along, and he didn't deserve the job he had. So now he doesn't have it, and the problem is, he identified that the cause of his firing was his own ego, just too late for this job. Remember it well.. we all have an ego to live with, we acn keep it in check or let it run rampant over us..its our choice, and I hope he learned which one he needed back there at the office.
