Many times I have asked people 'Superman Vs. Batman- who would win?' they would quickly answer 'Superman' as if it's an answer like '2+2=4'.

As a extreme Batman fan, I know a lot about his character history and some of it does include Superman. For example, if you was to read Frank Miller's 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns' Batman and Superman fight. Who won is not known as Batman drugs himself to a temporary by his own hand.

Frank Miller's 'Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again' includes another battle between Superman and Batman. This ends with Superman being beaten half to death and eventually he soon surrenders and works for Batman. However, this is because Batman had the help of other heroes such as The Flash and The Green Arrow. But does this show Batman as the team to beat Superman?

Jeph Loeb's 'Batman: Hush Volume One' includes Superman being easily controlled by a Batman villain named Poison Ivy. Batman eventually battles or 'stalls' Superman to make him come to his senses. Surely this would mean Batman could kill Superman? After all he could easily get his hands on Superman's weakness; Kryptonite.

Finally, I ask you, which of Batman and Superman have actually died? No comic I know has showed Batman actually dying by the hand of one of his enemies. However, Superman has ('The Death of Superman'). Although Superman eventually came back to life, perhaps the fact Batman as not needed to be brought back to life means he is more capable of survival.
