Computers can be frustrating for a variety of reasons, depending on the person who is using them and the situation involved. Unless you are an absolute computer whiz there will come a time when you wish to carry out a task and do not have sufficient knowledge to do so without exploring your computer and testing out ideas. If you don't strike lucky and discover the right way to do what you want to, you may begin to feel impatient and annoyed.
When dealing with a computer rather than a person you can't communicate what your needs are in normal human ways. You have to adapt to computer speak by typing in the correct instructions. This doesn't come naturally to everyone, and can cause impatience and confusion when it takes time to get a machine to do what we require.
The very act of sitting in-front of a computer, possibly for hours on end, can lead to frustration. When working at a computer you limit your environment and attention radar to the bright screen in-front of you. The glare from the screen can make you frown without realizing that you are doing so. This creates tension in the forehead which can lead to eye strain.
Our brain is being sent a signal that something is wrong if we frown, and in such cases it is hardly surprising that a person may begin to experience feelings of tension and unease that may be interpreted as frustration.
It is becoming increasing known that certain people are particularly susceptible to electrical gadgets in a negative way, experiencing headaches, nausea and a feeling of general discomfort and illness. Some people would go further in their beliefs on this subject and report that they think that their exposure to electricity is responsible for more serious illnesses entirely.
To avoid potential future frustration when working at your computer and possible discomfort from over exposure remember to take a break regularly. Get up and move away from your work station. Stretch and if possible take in some fresh air. Give your eyes a few moments to recover before returning to the screen and you will feel fresher and more relaxed upon returning to your work. Also try to remember to switch your computer off when you have finished with it, and if it is in your bedroom unplug it just in-case you are one of the people who are susceptible to electricity.
