An Inconvenient Truth has received a lot of negative attention from critics of Al Gore, or those who say that Al Gore has a huge electricity bill so why should we listen to his environmental preaching?

But ignoring criticisms of Al Gore, this movie is exceptional. I have not seen such a good documentary since David Attenborough was last crashing about some remote jungle filming monkeys and rare plants.

Al Gore's movie manages to be exciting, and scary, and intellectually stimulating without resorting to special effects, or beautiful actors. The movie is fascinating because it makes an in depth analysis of one of today's biggest issue: global warming and the destruction of the environment. Despite being very serious, the movie is never boring or dull.

One thing i liked about the movie was that Al Gore was not afraid to discuss complicated and difficult to understand ideas. Which is very refreshing when so many modern movies deliberately dumb themselves down because its believed intellectual movies wont be popular.

But the best achievement of An Inconvenient Truth was that the movie managed to be uplifting and inspiring, even though the subject of global warming can be so depressing.

Definately a good movie to rent. It will make you think, and how many recent movies have managed that?!
