How does Page rank really work? We've dug deep into the how and the why, and here is the answer.
Having just achieved a PR of 7 on our main site's blogging page after some trial and error - we feel the page rank mystery has been solved. To all the thousands of readers who are eager to learn how to achieve higher page rank - we will provide a fairly easy step-by-step solution that has worked successfully for our sites and which should work for anybody else who is willing to try.
Google's page rank is one of those mysterious things that is elusive and reachable all in the same breath. Our primary webgame site has been steadily working with content to push itself to a higher page rank and now we have achieved for a few hours a pr of 10 before it dropped to a stable pr of 7. This is how we managed to hit that high.
Generate a google site map to ensure all pages on your site are properly indexed so the search engine can read and reference every single page on your site that is publicly accessible
Meta description and meta keywords that are both relevant and appropriate. Use no more than 3 repeats of any keyword in these tags, and we keep to a maximum of 200 characters total for your keywords and descriptions.
Content, content, content. Always keep new and fresh content on the front page and in the site. Our site focuses on Primetime television, so we use a rotating php script that changes the current TV schedule to show that night's showing on primetime. That changes every day and is updated weekly with the new schedules. so the spiders always see something different every day they visit. This cannot be stressed enough. Find a way to have unique content on your site's main indexing pages so the spiders always find fresh information every time they visit. That is an almost guarantee of good indexing.
