It is my firm belief that the Word of God is the only absolute truth humanity can refer to. It was written by men of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of our Lord. I believe that to say that something written in the Bible is untrue-in any way-is a sin in itself; as the different books of the Bible were written only when a man was influenced by the Holy Spirit, it was arguably written by God Himself, not man, and as any Jew or Christian knows, God is perfect and therefore incapable of untruth.

To this argument I cling: if the Bible was truly written as God desired-which it was-then how could this debate have arisen in the first place? The Bible clearly states numerous times in various passages from several books, often written by different human authors, that homosexuality is WRONG. In one of the books of Timothy, which are both located in the New Testament, the apostle Paul outlines what constitutes a pastor that is acceptable to the Lord. Certain things are NOT acceptable, such a pastor being a man who has been married and divorced, then remarried to another woman. But the general message conveyed is that a pastor must be one in obedience to the will of God.

To further explore the matter, let us go back to one of the oldest stories in the Bible. You have likely heard of Abraham and Lot. Long story short, Lot ended up living in a city called Sodom. We believe that this whole city was homosexual-meaning "gay"-which may not be the case, because the city would rely entirely upon converts to homosexuality to flourish for more than a couple generations at most. But moving on, the city of Sodom heard that two angels were at Lot's house. The entire city comes and surrounds his house in an attempt to take these angels that they may "know them", which is often a reference to sexual intercourse in the Bible. To "know" a person sexually is the word "ahab" in the Hebrew tongue. The Bible uses the word "men", which could mean either "males" or "people". The distinguishing line is often difficult to determine, but either way, there were obviously men-and probably women-present; were only women present, the Bible would have specified that only women were around Lot's house, which means that the sins of Sodom included homosexuality at least part of the time. So now, we see that the use of the word "men" clearly means that males-and likely both sexes-had...physical intentions...toward the angels. When Lot asked God to spare the city, the Lord said, "You find me fifty
