Here is a great recipe for homemade chocolate cake. Your family will love it!
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon soda
1 can chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup nuts, chopped
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and add soda. Add chocolate syrup and flour mixture, alternately to creamed mixture. Add vanilla, beat well. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350F degrees for 40-45 minutes or until done. Frost with favorite frosting.
