Not only should Social Security not be abolished
but let's add this sector, Congressmen and politicians
who get pensions. If you abolish their pension programs
and place them on Social Security (at the 67 year old
retirement age), just watch how Social Security reform
is passed and becomes solvent for years!
Why are decisions made on Social Security voted on and
dictated by people who are the least likely to be on it?
Social Security will be stretched to the limits as the
baby boomer generation ages and retires in large numbers.
The warning signs have been around for years. But no one
had the forethought to re-vamp the system. Those who
just let it become what it is never really had to worry
about relying on it.
So, it is time to make it an issue for the coming 2008
elections. Re-vamp the system. But first, remove all
congressional and Senate pensions. I guarantee the issue
will be solved and resolved before 2010.
