Poetry: Words

WHERE ARE THE WORDS?

Where are the words?
droplets of disappointment and anger fall to the page.
either it's going to be a cave-in or an eruption.
don't know.

Where are the words?
eggs shells in jagged little pieces with egg goo mixed with it
waiting for all the king's men and horses to put Humpty Dumpty
back together.

Where are the words?
moments of rage intertwine with hope on the edge of a
voracious storm.
grayness blankets the horizon.

Where are the words?
self-sacrifice is not worthy
forgotten about in the dusty corner.
appreciation flushed down the toilet with one little
press of the plastic handle.

Where are the words?
trying to wash away the pain with steaming water.
scrubbing hard but nothing changes.

Where are the words?
in a galaxy far away
in another time and place
things are different, the handwriting is nicer and legible.
one last chance to get it right.
one last chance to catch a falling star with a butterfly net.

Where are the words?

    I danced with the devil,

    Mixed with rose colored lies.

    Words of deception,

    Struggling words......

Laying on a back of moss
I am torn to be free,
Is it a day for my poet
    Or the man in me?

    I crave inspiration
    From
