NORTH STAR
The sun is bright today placed somewhere
in the baby-blue eyed sky.
a mixed wind, smelling of hickory smoke
with last summer's warmth swirled inside
slap
the earth and it's inhabitants.
And I can't help to think of you.
I see the words you said and the actions you did
masquerade as paper thin clouds that drift
slowly through my mind.
Stranded, am I, in crazy dreams, wishes, and hopes.
no matter how hard I try-
I am not free.
As your words shocked and stunned me and now the memories
are blurry and forgotten.
After all you made a big impact on me
like a meteor the size of Texas
crashing into Earth.
And after all you made me feel real good
even if you didn't try.
I'll always keep a place for you in my sky.
You'll be my north star
Shining bright so I'll never be lost at night.

Disillusionment, when will it be complete?
Swallow me whole?
Crushing my glasses of rose beneath reality’s
Brilliant dazzling colors
Grace the countryside
Explosio ns of real life beauty
Only nature can provide
With crisper nights and
I was fooled
By your wishes of love
I was fooled by your words
I listened to everything that you said
But you did not hear
The Flower And The Gander
A being waiting for life
To come and open like flowers
Reveal their essence when approached
