Controversial radio host Don Imus: Should he be fired for his remarks?

Although I thought the firing of Don Imus over the comment was completely ridiculous, this type of penalty doesn't surprise me anymore, especially when Al Sharpton is involved. It seems whenever he arrives on the scene, someone is going down for being a racist-whether they are or not.

Now, I've been listening to Imus for many years and I know he is not a racist. Anyone who has followed his show, and the community work he has done over the years, knows that he is no more of a racist than Mother Teresa.

The bottom line: he was fired because of the pressure from Al Sharpton. The white media is terrified of this guy! I'm just so sick of the race card!

I do know there are plenty of racist people in our country, but, I believe, the more we make a big deal out of comments like these, the more we back-track as a nation.

Unlike many other people who make verbal mistakes like this, Imus went out of his way to apologize, admit his mistake, and offered to meet the team and apologize to their faces, which he did.

I wish all of these people would have spent more time trying to get Bush impeached for all of the damage he has done!
