My best are WAFER biscuits or cookies, made by 3 or 4 thin and dry rectangular layers of cake, with a typical network surface, and chocolate or cream layers among them.
I like these cookies because they are soft, nutrient and tasty.

When I went to the University in Genoa, Italy, there was, in the first years of my studies, a plant of an alimentary industry, at 100-150 m from the buildings where I attended the university lessons and a pleasant biscuits smell spread in the air toward us.

This plant had a little retail shop where they sold the biscuits produced with some defects, like a wrong cut, or shape in plastic bags of 1.5 or 1 Kg.
So, attracted by that smell and also by their cheap price, I often went with some study fellows of mine to buy one of these sacks as a snack in middle of the afternoon, or after having had lunch in the university refectory and my favourite biscuits were just wafer cookies with cream or chocolate, that I eat with great satisfaction.

But then, after my third year of University, that industrial plant closed forever (1985) with its retail shop, maybe, because considered not productive anymore, like many other industries of my town in those difficult years
and I couldn't find them so easily anymore.
It's just true that the good things are too often the first to end.
