As I sit and watch the evening sky,
the clouds pass me by like they have a mission,
a destination, like me,
to the stars, the great unknown,
the sky with endless possibilities,
like a race of the clock,
who is better?
the clouds tell me stories,
stories of pain and anger,
stories of happiness and joy,
stories of lovers found and lovers lost,
what if the sun and the moon were long lost lovers?
they can only meet for such a blissful period on sunrise and sunset,
the day and the night are spent apart,
but a lifetime of longing surpasses them each day and each night,
a whole lifetime of searching to finally find it,
to finally realize there is more to life then what it seems,
to realize that the world is not such a bad place after all,
the realize that even the moon is not whole all the time,
and the sun is not shining as brightly today
... until sunset.
