This is the best beach resort I have been to. I have stayed at Tioman Berjaya resort, Phuket Laguna Beach resort, Tongsai Bay Cottages in Koh Samui, Club Med in Bintan, Hilton in Bali, even Kea Lani in Maui, none of these resorts are as good as Tubkaak Resort. Although Kea Lani is more luxurious, but Tubkaak Resort has better service.

Location:
It is located 20 mins away from Ao Nang, the main beach in Krabi. I really like the location, although it is isolated. The new road is just finished, so getting there is very smooth. I am glad to be away from all the traffic and shops selling things I do not like to buy. The beach at the resort is the best in the Krabi coast, even better than the beaches in Tioman. I can sit in the crystal clear water and watch numerous small fishes swimming around me. The waves are gentle, and great for swimming. The best time is in the morning until 1pm, after that it's low tide and the beach is covered with millions of tiny crabs !

What I like most is the proximity to the magnificent Hong Islands, only 15 mins by longtail boat. I have visited the beaches on Tioman, Redang, Perhentian, Koh Samui, Rawa, but the Hong Island is the most beautiful. I simply love feeding fishes at the beach, with the fishes swimming all around me. It's like a dream.

Service:
The hotel arranged a private longtail boat for me, for 1700 baht return. In the morning I ordered lunch box at 800 baht for 2 person, and at 10:30am when I was ready to leave, the lunch box was already inside the boat waiting for us.
Our flight was at 6pm, and I was very happy that the hotel allowed late check-out at 4pm. When we checked out, the staff already have the bill printed out even before I reached the front desk. I can sit down comfortably to sign the bill. It's all these small touches that makes a difference.
The service is very good but unobtrusive. I have stayed at Peninsula Bangkok, but this resort has even better service.

Hotel Grounds:
Lovely and small, but just nice for me since I don't fancy huge resorts. Not child safe. Not recommended for kids under 4 years old, unless you keep a really close watch on them, they may fall over the edges.
Actually we did bring our 4 year old girl with us, she was the only child there but no problem at all. There are no facilities for children, but simply spending time at the beach, kayaking, playing with sand, going to Hong Island, are enough to keep my little girl busy.

Room:
I booked a superior room. It's not as spacious as I would like. The
