I'm not married, I've never been divorced, but what have seen and been through, was my mom and dad pacing around, going through months of yelling in a phone and arguing with my mother's ex-husband over the rights of my brother and the check needed to support him.
Signing a prenup would have prevented all of that. It would have ended the beatings and verbal insults my mother went through, and would've let her move on with her life.
And to the catholics booing down the prenup agreement, this is to protect the future not destroy. Its to insure a safe and loving marriage, and is basically a support to prevent a collapse.
Yes, it should be mandatory that a couple signs the prenuptial agreement before the words "I do" slip from their mouth. It saves much of the unnecessary pain and sorrow many failing relationships suffer still today.
