THE POWER OF RELEASE

"Let go and let God!" MY MOTHER

"All the fish needs to do is get lost in the water. All man needs to do is get lost in the Tao." CHUANG TZU

Carry a bottle of Effitallpronounced: F-it-all!

In my speeches, I joke that there is an FDA approved drug that you can take that is proven to take away all of your problems and worries. The drug isEffitall, pronounced "F-it-All!" There comes a point in your life when, as the song says, you have to throw your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care, and when you are ready to let go so you can grow, let the people say, Oh yeah!'

Effitall is a brutal reality metaphor for learning to let go and let God. Realize that it is not your fight. My mother used to say something to me when I was a little boy, and I felt alone, different, rejected and stupid. She would look at me with those solemn brown eyes of hers and say, Baby, it didn't come to stay, it came to pass. Let go and let God. Thank you, Mommy.

In his book, Maximum Achievement, Brian Tracy says, In all mental work, effort defeats itself. The more you relax and don't try, the faster the thought seems to be accepted by your subconscious mind, and the faster the physical result of the thought or goal appears in your world.

Read this phenomenal quote from the Reverend Dr. Johnnie Colemon: Once you have done all that you know to do, the next step is release. As long as you are in possession of the concern, it cannot vacate your life. The relief, cure or healing that you desire already exists. The only delay is your inability to accept it.

Let go and let God is the point that is being made here. Can you let go and trust that the universe will keep its tried and proven covenant? Laurence G. Boldt says, Before you can learn to swim, you must learn to float. Be it water or the natural world, you must trust the stuff you are in. If you fight against it, you are going to gasp and struggle. You may even drown. Yet when you learn to trust it, you see that water wants to hold you up, not pull you down. In the same way, the universe wants to hold you up, not pull you under. This is not because it is nice and cares about you, but because it is you; in the same way that you float, you are water. To swim in water or the Tao, you must let go of control in order to find real control. Insisting on control from the outset will cause you to lose it.

Learn to swim in the universe and let go of all angst and outcome.

Now let's look at

Ten Things You Can Release

Release yourself from past mistakes. Release others for passing their mistakes on to you. Release your worry and anxiety of the outcome.
Release your self-sympathy. Release your past and present depression. Release your self-guilt and self-criticism.
Release your debt: Match Your Debt To Service (See page 161 for details on this phenomenal process).
Release OPO (Other People's Opinions). Ask yourself the questions below to determine if these people are mentors or critics: Do these people motivate me or disempower me when they give me advice? Do they help show me the possibilities of a situation, or do they try and dictate what I should do in a situation and offer their personal opinion? Are these people spiritually grounded? Do they have a strong connection with their God? Are these people qualified to give me an opinion or advice on the subject I will be inquiring about? Release compromising your truth.
Release the previous environment that programmed you make new associations. Create a new reality for yourself.
