Hair loss and the use of wigs

The use of wigs and hair loss. Loss of hair or maybe no loss of hair could be reasons for the use of wigs. Luckily, when I was around twenty, I got to wear some wigs just for the fun of it.

The chance to purchase a dozen wigs from a lady that was selling them, at a very good price was taken! All new, as this was her business. Some were sold to close friends and relatives almost as soon as they saw them.

Several different styles and colors were in this purchase. There were very short ones on down to very long ones. The longest one was a really pretty blond color. I didn't have this very long before my niece in kindergarten fell in love with it.

Letting her try it on was my mistake. She liked it so much more than I ever would have, it was given to her. Who could resist a five-year-old? Not too long after this, she had grown her own blond hair out long and pretty.

Having a wig close to your natural hair color and shape can be time-saving when having to rush to the grocery store, post office, school for the kids or grandchildren.

Have you ever hated to leave the house, just because your hair didn't look as you would like it? Having a wig you like and fits well is the answer. Be sure and have it clean, and setting preferably on a wig-head that stands up is so convenient.

Pin up your own hair, put on lip-gloss or lipstick, whatever you prefer. Zip on your color of eye-liner and then put on your well-kept wig! Instant ready to go. Make-up as you desire or not, or as time allows.

Well, of course, with that nice looking wig and some make-up on, you will want to choose some nice looking clothes to go along with your nice looks! Little joke there.

Wig shops are nice places to visit just to look and see what they have. The first time I went shopping in a wig store I was only eighteen-years-old. My oldest sister lived in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and for some reason she wanted to go to a wig shop. Having worked for all my high school years, I was game for going shopping of any kind.

Getting to see some of the sights around the D.C. area was part of my excitement. I always loved seeing all the different neighborhoods and people. We came to the wig shop, and it was very clean and nice. The sales-ladies were friendly and helpful.

Making sales was only a part of their job. After you made your choice, they showed you all about cleaning and care for the wigs, and even how to style for the look you wanted. It was a lot of fun. My sister picked out the wig for herself in a dark brown
