A beginner's guide to makeup

This is for beginners and its a basic make-up online lesson.

FOUNDATION

When applying foundation make sure that it is the same colour as your neck. Apply a small ammount to your jaw line to ensure that the colour you are about to put on ur face and the colour of your neck, match.

Before applying foundation make sure your face is cleased, toned and moisturised. Make sure the moisturizer is dried in enough to apply make up. Make sure skin is not dry.

Liquid foundation is the most popular followed by compact and stick. Young skin which is clear or slightly bleamished should use liquid. Very clear and olive tones, including very young, should consider gel. Apply foundation all over face with a 1 inch brush. Around the eyes use ur fingers and apply evenly. Apply a slighty darker (no more than one tone) to the areas you would like to disguse (square jaws, high foreheads) and your neck colour to the rest. If you do not have a darker shade use a brown/tan eyeshadow or blusher lightly over these areas.

Once liquid foundation is on your face, use a loose powder on a blusher brush and gentle tap the brush before letting it touch your face to discard too excess powder.

Using sweeping motions upwards, run the powder around and over the face. More oily skin can use this until matte look is acheived.

BLUSHER

At this pont apply a tiny bit of blusher on the blusher brush. Use vey sparingly less is more, and dont be afraid if you cant see it yourself. Its there.

EYE SHADOW

Next for eyeshadow to choose a shade depending on your eye shape. The rounder your eye the darker the colour should be on both sides of the eye socket. The narrower the eye the lighter the colour should be on both sides of the eye socket.

Dark colours should be for night time and dark area use like restaurants and public events. Lighter colours for the day time.

To choose from the many ranges of eyeshadows. Think of what colour clothes you are wearing, and then think of your eye colour.

For instance. Someone going to a social event in the evening, black tie, wearing a plum colour with brown eyes, should go a dark plum with brown accents or maroon.

Someone wearing a blue dress during the day with blue eyes should go silver or greay with accents of blue and white.
