for certainty where certainty probably never was available? And never will be. My ideas would be changed drastically if it were proven that there is any such certainty about any philosophy. I would never doubt that such certainty could exist in any complicated set of ideas.
Perhaps I should state my beliefs more clearly. I believe that any set of complicated ideas, can be true in every sense, however, I believe that any opposite ideas could also be true.
Sentience, in my opinion, is an intangible awareness, which is present in many forms, however, none of those forms would be physical, nor tangible. My idea about free thought is that it is not physical in any way. My definitions never deny anyone else's freedom to think otherwise. My opinions are simply my opinions. Nothing that I say, do, believe in, or experience in any way, defines anyone else's beliefs. So I would support anyone's ideas, and the right to believe those ideas, even if their ideas were completely opposite to mine. Indeed, my philosophy states that everyone is free to define themselves and their ideas. Further, those definitions are infinitely diverse and equally available to any person, or any sentient being, regardless of their form of life. To me, humanity is simply one way to understand one life form: humans.
I also believe that sentience has no individual owner. There is no omnipotent creator god in my opinion. Nothing was ever created, nor will anything ever be destroyed. It simply changes shape at different times. Tangible matter changes. However, my idea of the intangible is that it cannot change into anything else. It simply is what it is: an infinite awareness of any aspect of the tangible reality, the physical substance.
What is the physical substance exactly? I have no idea. Perhaps the string theorists are right. There are an infinite set of infinitely small strings, each string is capable of morphing into anything. Whatever the basis for physical substance is, in my opinion, it cannot ever remain exactly as it is. Stuff evolves into different shapes and forms. Nothing about the physical stuff is ever permanent.
There is permanence in the intangible awareness as I define it for myself. However, this definition is completely limited to me and my experiences. In my opinion, it is impossible for me to define others. I am free to define myself, and my experiences. Everyone else has the exact same freedom to define themselves. To me, it is the height of hubris to assume that I can define
