Are You Lonely?
I've watched you from the barstool,
Coming on to girls;
Talking all that big talk,
While you promise them the world.
You turn on that million dollar smile and wink your eye,
But you know I know baby that you're full of bull and lies,
And when it's past their bedtime or they can't come out and play,
You look back to find your woman...faithful as the day.
Are you lonely?
You shouldn't be.
I'm your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
Baby turn around and you will see,
The only thing that you've got going anywhere is me
Are you lonely?
You shouldn't be.
I'm your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
You don't even turn my way until it's time to go,
To busy with those pretty, little girls, dancing slow;
That phony grin is on your face till the last one's out the door,
Then you want to be my cowboy; and it's back to the real world.
You whisper "it's our bedtime baby, let's go home and play."
And you look back to find your woman; faithful as the day.
Are you lonely?
You shouldn't be.
I'm your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
Baby turn around and you will see,
The only thing that you've got going anywhere is me
Are you lonely?
You shouldn't be.
I'm your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
All my friends they tell me, that I should put you down,
You're just like a bad habit, I'm use to having you around;
But lately times are changing and you're playing me too close,
If you don't think that I'll leave you sugar, you're tripping more than most!
You're running out of bedtimes darling and all those games you play,
You're going to look back to find your woman; gone like yesterday.
Are you lonely?
You're going to be.
I was your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
Baby turn around and you will see,
The only thing that you've got going anywhere is me
Are you lonely?
You're going to be.
I was your one and only,
You should've been loving me.
Are you lonely? You shouldn't be...

A Tale Without a Tell
Lying awake again,
No freedom for friends,
Slipped up, losing touch.
I'm a rock without a roll,
A clock
