MIRRORS OF YOURSELF

~

I do not live for freedom
I just hope to survive
Not to say I know the answers
It is a wonder I'm alive
Do you not know who I am?
Will you judge me for my birth?
Just who are you to determine
Someone's life and someone's worth?

I've been burnt by the fire
And I've made it through the night
Known the demons and the hauntings
And the cold sick feel of fright
Do you not know who I am?
Will you judge me by yourself?
Through the screens you have created
Through the mirrors of yourself

I have swam the darkened waters
I have broken prison gates
Smelled the stench of crimson rivers
And the horror man creates
Do you not know who I am?
Will you not even try to see?
Will you trust the hundred mirrors
Showing you but blaming me

I have fought the hell of living
I have tried to do my best
But in the end it seems its
Up to you to do the rest
Do you not know who I am?
I am living for today
Tomorrow they might catch me
And then take my life away

Do you not know who I am?
Break the mirrors and you might see
Mirrors of your own life
Showing you but judging me

Reflecting you, judging me.
