Undocumented and illegal immigrations should have a roadmap to US citizenship
Undocumented and illegal immigrants are ready to regain status as human beings. We are all world citizens. Laws and regulations that govern society should not make us treat each other like animals. Just because someone came to this country unlawfully or illegally does not mean he or she stops being human.
There are interesting views on relationships between US citizens and undocumented and illegal immigrants, which show that everyone needs a roadmap to law. One such observation is a red flag lifting when these immigrants marry citizens because this is viewed as a road to and exploitation of US citizenship. Yet speaking on relationships, Aristotle warned that every relationship involves exploitation. So no matter what we think to be the reason for our marriage, Aristotle would say the marriage transactions generally involve exploitation. We marry for beauty, for wealth, for intelligence, for fame, for this and that, and we can safely say that marriage has something to do with obtaining from the other by some means what one does not have.
Others might argue that marriage is a give and take deal instead of being just robbery of another's virtue. Yet when marrying someone beautiful, it is not the same beauty given in exchange. It is so with wealth, intelligence or fame. There will always be a little more or less taken or given in exchange. Laws of nature tell us that a state does not exist where we can attain equilibrium. One partner is always going to be receiving or giving more than the other. Now the question is, what is it partners give or receive in marriage? The list has no limit. Yet surprisingly enough we could choose by some mysterious design to exclude green cards from the marriage transaction. This does not make sense. If I can be married for money or fame, or beauty or intelligence and you for the US Green Card what gives your marriage a different status from mine?
Undocumented illegal immigrants have once been like you, like me until we gave them these unfortunate labels. Removing camouflage brings us face to face with these immigrants. Looking away from statistics and data that encode them as such, we see in them the same imperishable soul that we each have. It is the soul that yearns for direction like everyone else's. They too fall in love like the rest of the citizens and marry for the similar reasons as the rest of us. They, too, look for desire road maps to better places like we all do. The laws of this country must be enforced, but with dignity and integrity they carry because to do otherwise is to mock our own order.
