will empower us to overcome those things that seek to destroy us. You need the power of God to overcome wrong behavior. Many of us will find that we cannot consistently choose to stay away from sex before marriage, adultery and drug abuse without God doing something inside of us to change our desires.

God knows that we cannot be good in our human nature. No matter what you have done, God wants to have a relationship with you, and He wants to change you for the better. "He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:5 Amplified Bible).

Have you experienced a cleansing bath from God? If not, talk to God. Say something like, "Father God, I need you to clean me up. I am a sinner. There is nothing in me that can fix me. Thank you for loving me anyway. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to a cross at Calvary, Israel, to die to pay the penalty for my sins. I am confessing my sins to you. I am turning my whole life over to your leadership.
From this moment forward Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord; the Holy Spirit lives inside of me, communicating with me and guiding me always. I need you everyday. Thank you for life now and in eternity!" This is not only a prayer for salvation; it is also a prayer that can be revisited. When God enters into our daily life, He does not take away our human nature. So ask God to cleanse you periodically. Say to God something like Psalm 51:10 (Amplified Bible), "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me." This is the cure for HIV/AIDS and all that ails the human race. It is the power of God inside of us that gives us the ability to make right choices. Right choices produce right behavior. Right behavior ends in spiritual and physical health. If Americans submitted their entire lives to God, it wouldn't be long before the epidemic of HIV/AIDS was something only in the history books.
