It would be ridiculous to argue that the Championship and Leagues One and Two have more to offer soccer fans than the Premiership. The best players in the country play in the Premiership therefore the standard on show is of a far higher quality than in the lower divisions. The higher attendances at Premiership games show which league the general public prefers.
There is a huge gulf in class between the Premiership and the Championship because of the enormous TV deal that the clubs playing in the Premiership receive. The clubs in the Championship and lower leagues can not compete with the big bucks offered to the teams in the Premiership.
The vast majority of clubs who gain promotion from the Championship into the Premiership tend to spend the season as the whipping boys before returning with their tales between their legs to the Championship.
A different argument would be to ask which league is the most competitive. There it would be logical to argue that the Championship is more competitive as every season most of the teams in the top half of the league have a chance to clinch the championship. It is a different case in the Premiership where only Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have a realistic chance of winning the league.
