Which is better: Coke or Pepsi?

Coca-Cola has a long history of tradition and legacy in addition to being the preferred taste between Pepsi in a number of countries Worldwide. Coca Cola Co. is also a much larger company than Pepsi in terms of global market share and equity capitalization. Being one of the commercial giants of the 20th century, Coca Cola has stood out many times as a leading and enduring soft drink. Surely this is for good reason. Coca-cola is part of a national quasi-cultural heritage in the sense it has been there for many generations taking part in the lives of many individuals whether it be through sponsorships, partnerships, entertainment or within the drink service industry.

There is something about the taste of a refreshing cold Coca-Cola soda that just tingles in the mouth and goes down tasting great. While Pepsi also has this effect on me it doesn't seem as satisfying and as cool, as a mouth watering, bubbling Coca-Cola quenching my soft drink desire with every sip. Pepsi tastes alright to me, but the red and white of the Coca-Cola bottles and cans seem to capture my eyes better. Coca-Cola is more than just a soft-drink to me, it is an invigorating, sensual, mouth watering sensation to the taste buds and great with a squeeze of fresh lemon on a hot day.

After drinking a Coca-Cola either from a glass with ice cubes or a cold bottle or can I feel good and satisfied . There's nothing quite like a Coca-Cola. Warren Buffett, a billionaire investor for a company called Berkshire Hathaway has taken pride in his coca cola equity positions. This is an indication of the business model of Coca-Cola. i.e. it can perceived to be a well run, organized and managed institution. This is also evident in the leading market share and evolution within the drink industry over the years. From its core product to energy drinks, coca-cola is there to change with the market and meet its taste and refreshment needs.

In terms of industry, Coca-Cola Co. is widely distributed in 5 continents around the World enjoying 75% or above market share in several countries including France, Brazil, Morocco, Chili and Uruguay (nytimes.com) Conversly, Pepsi has a stronger market share in only a few countries in which Coca-Cola is also distributed making Coca-cola the clear market leader between the two. Additionally, Coca-cola is much more heavily capitalized than Pepsi Bottling Group. With billions more capital leveraging, obtaining and maintaining market share is better facilitated by Coca-Cola.

It is clear Coca-Cola Co. is the better beverage not only in terms of taste but also in terms of cultural presence and market leadership. Quite simply Coca-Cola Co. is the preferred choice nationally, internationally and industrially. From its beginning in the 19th century to its continued legacy in the 21st century, Coca-Cola has been the choice of literal billions and continues to adapt with the changing needs of its market.
