The huge system of slowly integrated collectivism that is the European Union(EU)has been extremely harmful to the nations of Europe and, in turn, the world.

The European Union is an economic union between most of the countries in Europe. With an international currency, the Euro, and various other free trade arrangements to help Europe meld together economically. However, more and more efforts have been made to bring Europe together politically, which is natural to happen when nations are so close together economically. And now there have even been calls to literally do away with the separate nations and create a United States of Europe.

This has been harmful in many ways. It is an outright slap in the face to the sovereignty of each individual nation. It encourages the notion that big and global is better than small and local. That we shouldn't have individual nations, but one global government. That the cause of all the world's wars and problems is sovereign nations. Now if you don't see whats wrong with that, then you're lost already.

The European Union moves farther and farther with it's globalist socialism. Where individual's rights are stripped away to feed the "common good". Where people are told that the role of government is to take care of them. Where America gets these silly notions of socialized medicine, welfare, and democracy.

The plans are being made under America's nose to form a North American Union. Consisting of America, Canada and Mexico. Just like Europe the economic ties are being laid. FTAA, NAFTA, GATT, CAFTA, SPP are all ways to further develop the America's economic dependence on one another. The goal for the North American Union is 2010! If the American people don't wake up, there will be no more America.

The disease that is globalism is spreading like wildfire through organizations like the UN. It needs to be stopped before it's too late.
