I can picture is all in my head, the way the tide used to rise and the soft music of the waves when they hit the shore. There were no seagulls, never any seagulls to disturb the beauty of the light shimmering upon the water. And we would wake up to this, every morning because our house was on this beach of never-ending summer. And we would laugh, and run along the shores leaving two sets of footprints in the sand. And you were so pretty, I would take your hand as we ran, your beautiful blue eyes matched the colour of the sea. The sun would set and the moon would rise; two becoming one. We had the beach to ourselves. I had you to myself, and you had me. I remember thinking, that this was it. This was it. Life. And you were my life. I remember wanting to lay like this, with you, in your arms forever. It was sweet, and we were happy. You were happy, and I know because you smiled so often then, and you would laugh at all my jokes. We would laugh, morning, noon, and night until our sides could no longer take it and we would fall asleep to the sounds of our laughter, mixed with the soft melody of the ocean. It was simple then, because we had each other. And we were the mountains; we were the sea. Stars were never too high, and I caught one for you, and we hung it in our bedroom. It shone with the light of a thousand stars and it was unexplainable; unexplainable magic, but we understood and we knew never to stop loving. I remember thinking late one night-you were asleep-this is it. This is it. This is love.
