Internet marketing is about "eyeballs".

Keep your understanding simple. It is a complicated field and if you don't stay simple, you'll lose any real understanding you may get or have gotten.

Getting good results is the most important thing - and that means never stop looking at what you've got and being honest with yourself about what is or isn't working, how much, how long for, and so on.

It's easy to not be totally disciplined since you are in charge of yourself and can't fire yourself over mistakes. So focus. How good ARE you? Don't oversell yourself to yourself.

Saving time is an interesting quandary. There is NO real reason to 'save time' in the traditional business sense. Looking for "solutions", buying into other people's profits, etc, does not give you what you are out here on the internet to do to/with your business.

TIME has to go into everything you do. The biggest thing to do for your internet business or for your business's internet marketing arm is to do what any self-employed person is advised to do, even property "entrepreneurs"... which is have a huge chunk of savings to live on while you build your business. You have to get through a lot of time during which it can't make enough.

The only other rule - look for as MANY ways for making regular extra money as possible. That's not an invitation to get a job or be a cabby. You have to stay online 24/7/365 - so keep your eyes open online and make sure any way you and your sites can profit, they do profit.
