Well, to live this life you've got to be smart. You've got to know when to jump and and be up on you're toes and when to kick back, relax, enjoy the sun. Me, I like to stretch right out there in the long grass, feeling the warmth of the soil, nose close to the musky smell of the earth and leaves.
Some cats have just got no idea. They wander around, from place to place. They have been tainted by humans. Thats what I say anyway. Us cats don't naturally have to rely on anyone. We are independent. It's up to us if we want so sit down and watch the grass grow and the crickets hop, or sharpen our claws and head on out for an adventure.
I answer to no one. My time is my own. This is my life and I live for the day. Who cares for tomorrow when today is where it's at. I see you humans, rushing around like flies on a mouse I've left on the mat. You just don't know what you are doing, got no perspective on life. It's not all about material stuff. Whats that all about anyway. I don't need things. I've got the ground beneath my feet and the great wide sky above me. Nothing to carry around and slow me down.
Whats more is that I can play you like a puppet. You guys are so easy to manipulate. I just wind and twist around your legs and purr. We learn the 'wind and twist' as kittens and we don't need much more to get you to do things. You're pushovers but we love you anyway.
As the sun sets I can just sit and watch the colors streak across the sky and listen to the birds and the wind through the trees. Then I can lounge around on the sofa with my people and poke fun at the dog. It's a cats life.
