Becoming acquainted with the boss I believe is advantageous to success within a company. The connections are really what a person should be seeking in relationships with a boss. Because connections are what leads to possibilities later on in a career. The days of kissing butt to get somewhere are really out the window.

We are currently in a revolution due to technology. You can literally become whatever you want to become. If you want to be famous it is possible. If you want to perform in front of screaming fans, there is an audience who will listen. If you have a dream there are people out there who will buy into it. We as a society are no longer bound by the dreams of the company we work for, or to the boss giving commands. We have the ability to live out our own dreams, and get out of situations in which we must climb a ladder to the top. You are the top, make some connections on the way. Live you dreams and help others live theirs. This life is full of abundance.

I don't believe kissing the bosses behind earns you respect with anybody. You will even despise yourself in the end.
