Every single night while my husband and I watch TV we do a count of commercials that male bash. You should try it sometime, you'll be amazed how many times the man is made to look stupid or just that the woman is the hero.
It sickens me the same and stirs up anger inside me every time I see what is happening to men. I'm a mother of a man, a wife of a man, a friend to men. And I just can't imagine if this were in the reverse how women would feel, if upon seeing commercial after commercial them being portrayed as weak stupid and mindless.
I have for years now felt,(but argued by many) that we are in a matriarchal society. Women are placed higher than men, they are perceived as the stronger and smarter amongst the two sexes. It's almost fashionable to treat men bad in today's times.
I agree feminism had it's place in society, but today I strongly believe men have gotten the message and enough generations have passed to kill off the old stereo types.
But now we have the reverse were women is some cases have used this power given to them (just how men in the past did)to rule by "Unrighteous Dominion", Anytime we attempt to compel or control someone, no matter what the means, we are exercising unrighteous dominion. Women do this all the time because of feminism.
The scale has been tilted the other way now.
Back in the 60's, the feminism movement was necessary for us to move forwards, but once the power was given back to the women, within a short time abuse started taking place. Women realized the power they had, although good came from it, bad did also.
Now day men can't even be themselves around a women for fear of retaliation. I have witnessed it myself especially in the work place. men hold back form saying anything out of fear of offending the woman.
We are different in some ways so we need to just except that and move on, not treating each other as one being better than the other, simply realize we do have difference, we each have our roles in life and can compliment each other and make this a better place to life. Each with something to offer one another.
Men have a very important role in raising children, in the work place and in this world. They have strengths we as women don't have. And women likewise have a role themselves raising children,in the work place and the world, likewise strengths men don't have.
So if together we work side by side one not being better then the other, then we can achieve success in all we do. There is not need to hold men accountable for what men in the past have done. This is a new age, time to heal from the past and work on treating each other with respect. One not being better, but rather different people with different capabilities together achieving one goal of making this world a better place.
Can't we just be ourselves and allow others to be the same.
