The glamorous bar job. My first bar that I had worked at was privately owned.It was a far stretch from professional management. Live bands played every night of the week to bring a diverse crowd and following with each group.Having to always be on the lookout for underage teens trying to get into the club to see their favorite bands.
The hardest duty I ever had to do was to tell someone they shouldn't be dancing because everyone in the club were laughing at them.

There is nothing glamorous about coming into the bar in the morning and fighting fruit flies that have come through the drain.Fruit flies are a common problem in a lot of bars due to liquors and mixes in the bar area. Once you get a fruit fly problem it is a never ending battle to control.

Another battle to deal with is the upper management that has no idea how to operate a bar. Always trying to cut costs by limiting the quality of liquor or wine for your establishment. With most of the corporate ran bars from the chain restaurants the stockholders are the bosses.Which in return the Authentic corporate Italian bar become less Italian.
