Well in my case I enlisted into the military before they even started this all volunteer military and that was back in the 70's in a time of war and I'm referring to the Vietnam war and back you were drafted and it was a safe bet that you would go straight to the front well it is no different today in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan,the only difference is that there is no draft but if there was there would be a lot of people going to Canada,to escape the draft,and in one sense maybe that is what we need to bring back with all of these young people out here getting into trouble over drugs and killing each other and ending up in jail or our and back in jail like a revolving door maybe we should have it and send all of these tough guys over there to fight like the guy who punched on that poor old lady one hundred years old in New York city,that video that was broadcast all over the country someone like him and all these teenagers who go around killing each other for a pair of sneakers or a few dollars well if they want to kill someone send them over to Iraq,and see how much they change there tune then when they have to fight for their lives to stay alive it is a whole different ball game than and boy you find out real fast.

So in some sense the draft would make sense to get all of the knuckleheads and s called tough guys off the streets out of the jails and put there butts in a real battle and let them see how it feels other than that the volunteer force is okay but even they are hurting right now so its a fifty,fifty on this if you really think about it because you can take this either way at this point that is whats so hard about this and being a veteran I know how hard it is and having a son who is a U.S.Marine,I really know!
