The secret to gift giving is to keep it small. Small and significant gifts make the most impact. The person receiving the gift is always more impressed when there is a personal feel to the gift or gifts.

First, decide on a theme based on the persons character. Be aware when you spend time with the person what their interests are, how they dress, and their form of entertainment. Based on their interests, the possibilities become fewer and you are on your way to a perfect gift.

Second, shop around. Do not enter a store with a specific gift in mind. Be open to different possibilities. The theme of your gift should guide you. If for example, you decided on a movie theme for your gift, look for knick-knacks that can be connected to the persons favorite movie.

Third, make a meaning card. Make sure your message about the different knick-knacks is clear. The card will make the entire gift meaningful. There is nothing more important than a message from the heart

No matter what you decide to give as a gift, put meaning behind the gift. Personalize, take time, and shop around. Keep your gift small and do not worry about getting the most expensive gift.
