For My Lover, Our Love Will Last Forever

Sometimes it is difficult to express how much our love means to me.
It doesn't matter if the world doesn't accept our ways,
and it doesn't matter if we cannot hold hands,
or dance to our favorite song in public,
we have each other . . . and that's what counts.

Our love has weathered the passage of time,
cleansed by bitter-sweet tears,
strengthened by laughter,
and burned by anger,
but through it all on thing remained . . . us.
Our love has been forged into a glistening band of gold
which I wear on my finger,
it is a circle that has no end and no beginning,
a circle that can never diminish, but go forever on.
Many memories of you are locked in this ring,
so it is more than just a circle,
it's a circle of love made for just you and me.

I love you more today than yesterday,
I love the way your sweet caress makes my skin tingle,
the way your kiss, so soft and gentle, holds the world at bay,
nothing can stand in our way,
the future is only a step away,
our hearts and souls are one,
and when forever comes we'll still be together.

You are my love, my friend . . . and I love you in a very special way.
