The most beautiful of eyebrows don't stand up and scream, "I am arched, I am trimmed, I am penciled in!" Attractive eyebrows compliment the shape and contours of the face. They are au naturale. They are not shaved and replaced with a pencil line. They make your face look complete, not constantly surprised or just plain scary.
As an Aesthetician, I encounter the woes of clients over plucking, misshaping, starting the arch at the beginning of the brow instead of the middle and the most tragic is the tweezing of all the brow except for the bit at the beginning in order to make a continual line with a pencil.
If you have never shaped your own brow or even dreamed of it perhaps you are the lucky one. Virgin brows are the perfect canvas to show you how your eyebrows should actually look.
The first thing you should always do is trim! Take either a small brow brush, or comb and brush your brows upward. If you have any hairs that are outrageously long immediately get those cut to the same length as the others. For an all over trim, as you comb the hair upwards snip the ends evenly across. This helps you to get brows that are always stay in place. If you don't like the squared off look, as you comb the hair up trim the hair at a forty-five degree angle. Skip this step completely if you are into the Brooke Shields heavy brow look.

Place the orange wood stick parallel with the side of your nostril, so that the stick meets the beginning of your brow. Every hair that is on the outside of the stick will need to be removed. An important note with this measurement, people with a naturally wider nose or ones that have petite noses may need to move the stick over a bit or inwards a bit. If you have a wider nose and you were to do an exact parallel measurement and take off the extra hair, you could make your brows mismatched to your face and even worse, make your forehead look wide. Use your own judgment. Usually hair near the beginning of the brow has a way of letting you know that it doesn't belong. The hair will sometimes be wayward and sticking out the wrong way.
For the next measurement, look forward at your bathroom mirror. Where your iris and pupil
